The role we’re hiring for is an
Air Hygiene Engineer/Technician
who would join our team based in
various areas from Ipswich/Bury St Edmond, Stowmarket and Newmarket.
You will be responsible for conducting Fire Damper inspections in accordance with current guidelines, performing ventilation hygiene assessments, and carrying out thorough cleaning of ventilation and extraction systems to prevent fire hazards.
What you receive for joining us:
We’re looking to offer a salary of £25,000 - £30,000. In addition, we offer a Company Pension and Healthcare, an accrued hours scheme, a financial loyalty bonus, and a working schedule of 40 hours per week.
Here’s a look at some of the things you’ll be doing:
Conduct Fire Damper Testing and Inspection to BS:9999 and RRFSO:2005 standards, and perform Ventilation Hygiene Assessments and cleaning to TR:19 guidelines.
Monitor and sample Indoor Air Quality, manage Local Exhaust Ventilation, and lead large-scale projects.
Fit access panels to ductwork, produce reports, and work in confined spaces and at heights.
Handle customer requests professionally, assist with the development of Air Hygiene Assistants, and support the wider business when needed.
Can you show experience in some of these areas:
Strong communication skills with clients, colleagues, and the public, both written and verbal.
Excellent problem-solving ability, work ethic, and attention to detail with effective record-keeping.
Ability to work independently, with flexibility to adjust to changing hours and travel, including occasional overnight stays.
Full UK driving license required, with willingness to commute and travel as needed.
