From £75,500 + £7,200 flex allowance + Up to 30% Bonus + Benefits The Airfield Project Delivery Lead is responsible for managing the inception through to deployment of complex development and change programs into the Aerodrome environment, enabling Gatwick's growth and performance aspirations. Leading a multitude of internal and external stakeholders, including regulators, airlines and contractors, in the delivery of these programs through planning, construction, Concepts of operations, communication and go live, whilst ensuring business as usual operations are not compromised. The role will run a number of programs concurrently with program life of 2+ years each and values of ~£50m+. What will you do?

Develop strategic infrastructure requirements from theory to practical requirements to inform detail scopes, for the future of Gatwick's airfield. Plan and conduct all aspects of the program workstreams delivering capability through multiple lines of development. Using the required SMEs define and assure concept of operations for the operational use of the future asset in each of the programs, gaining relevant regulatory oversight, feedback and approval. Work alongside the Gatwick operational teams in Airfield, ATC and Fire to ensure the construction and Ops readiness are done in conjunction with operational teams and do not negatively impact the operational traffic. Work in partnership with the respective project delivery teams to support projects being delivered safely, efficiently and timely, representing the programs in support of the sponsor at relevant approvals and update boards. Find creative solutions to maintaining the intensity of Gatwick's airfield whilst undertaking intrusive construction within it. Do you have what we're looking for?

Degree in a relevant field, with programme or project management experience, change management skills, programme management training (e.g., APM, MSP), and experience in leading infrastructure programmes/projects in a live operational environment. Demonstrated extensive experience in capital finance, capacity planning, operations, and airline business development. Possesses a deep understanding of the broader business context, including the regulatory environment at London Gatwick. Demonstrated strong leadership skills in managing direct reports and building and leading virtual teams across business units to deliver specific projects. Possesses excellent communication and influencing abilities, making complex issues understandable for wider audiences, and effectively engaging and motivating cross-functional teams of internal staff and external consultants. Commercial expertise to develop compelling business cases, considering all capital and operating costs, revenue streams, productivity opportunities, service and regulatory impacts. Extensive experience in the leadership of large infrastructure programs £50m+. Strong track record in strategic thinking capability – seeing and exploiting synergies. This might, for example, mean combining infrastructure solutions to solve more than one business challenge. Extensive experience in managing complex stakeholder relationships with internal and external subject matter experts, regulators, airlines and their handlers.
