Job Description What we are looking for: We are recruiting an Airfield Services Engineer to join the Airfield Services team in ensuring the airfield infrastructure and systems are safe, efficient, and compliant with regulatory requirements to deliver a safe and operational airfield. About the role: Key responsibilities include: Delivering a safe, operational airfield lighting system through an ongoing electrical and mechanical maintenance regime. Fault finding and rectification of airfield faults through planned and reactive maintenance. Regularly and effectively liaising with Air Traffic Control (ATC) and engineers. Maintaining compliance with Procedures and Maintenance Schedules in accordance with regulatory requirements and Company Policies. Providing support for all airfield projects. Consistently demonstrating and encouraging others to adhere to the company values of Proud, Passionate, Ambition, and Together in your day-to-day role. Contributing to the Company’s aspiration of becoming an Employer of Choice and Responsibility in the local area by actively participating in our volunteering opportunities where possible. Demonstrating engagement with and adherence to the Company’s policies, procedures, guidelines, and reporting channels to ensure all work is carried out safely and to the highest standards, including but not limited to: Safety, Compliance, and Environmental standards/legislation. The identification and management of occupational risk factors that may affect an employee’s psychological response to their work and workplace conditions. Appropriate Workplace Behaviour, UK Modern Slavery, and General Data Protection & Retention (GDPR) Policies. Supporting the team with ad hoc activities/tasks as reasonably requested. About you: Skills, Qualifications and Experience Essential Full UK driving license holder. Qualified Electrician with knowledge of airfield electrical systems. Technical knowledge and ability to pass an Aeronautical Ground Lighting (AGL) Course. An understanding of airfield operations and CAP168 & 670. Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with others, including 3rd party contractors. High attention to detail, with a safety focus. Excellent problem-solving skills. Able to work across a shift pattern of early and late shifts, including on call (evenings and weekends). Works well in a small team and independently as the job requires.
