Job Role:

As an Airfreight Operator, you will coordinate the transportation of goods by air, ensuring that shipments are handled efficiently and in compliance with industry regulations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow their career in the logistics and airfreight sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle clients’ enquiries, providing quotations and processing bookings
  • Coordinate airfreight shipments from origin to destination, ensuring smooth operations in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and client expectations
  • Ensure all shipments comply with international and local regulations
  • Prepare and process shipping documents (e.g., air waybills, customs documentation, invoices)
  • Negotiate effectively with suppliers and airlines to maximize profitability while delivering outstanding value to our clients
  • Submit customs declarations in a timely manner
  • Liaise with overseas partners, airlines, transport companies to arrange quick dispatch and delivery of cargo
  • Plan and arrange collection and deliveries as per client requirements
  • Monitor the progress of shipments to ensure on-time delivery
  • Resolve any issues or delays promptly and efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate records of all shipments and transactions.
  • Provide excellent customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving complaints
  • Build excellent relationships with customers in order to exploit further business opportunities

Required experience, skills and qualities:

  • Prior experience in airfreight operation or in a similar role within a freight forwarding company is essential
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deliver high level of customer care
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Proficient in MS Office and logistics software
