I'm currently working with a very well-known London-based Architectural practice in their search for an Airport Planner. This is a permanent position with a salary circa £50,000 pa depending on experience. This position lends itself to those with a specific set of skills and experience within the aviation and infrastructure sector. You'll need to have at least 5 years of experience working on airport planning schemes to be considered. Aviation master planning will be a large aspect of this role, and you'll need to be able to demonstrate strong experience with this in your portfolio, both UK-based and International aviation schemes. Experience with Airport terminal planning is also required. Generally, good front-end design experience would be suitable; you'll be working on early concept design stages and feasibility studies. You'll need to be able to communicate efficiently as you'll be coordinating between various teams within the company. You'll also be presenting and working closely with clients, which would require strong communication skills. Managing a team would be beneficial, as eventually you'll likely have a small team to manage after the initial embedding period. Ideally, you should be comfortable using Revit; however, other software is in use, so don't despair if you're not a Revit guru. Microstation and AecoSIM experience would also be suitable if not Revit. This role is with a very recognizable and respected name in the UK Architectural market. While this is an aviation role, the company works in a variety of other areas including healthcare, education, commercial, and more. This is to work for a company that is known for treating their staff well, offering a good set of additional benefits and an attractive hybrid working policy. Interviews are looking to take place before the end of the year, with a start date in mind for January/February.
