The hospital is recognised as the leader in addiction medicine in Western Australia. Due to an expansion, an exciting opportunity has arisen for additional therapists to join our growing Allied Health Team to primarily facilitate group therapeutic activities to assigned patients and to participate in group therapy activities as directed by the Therapy Lead. Minimum Requirements Current registration with the AHPRA or AASW Current Criminal Record and Working with Children Certificates Previous experience working in a multi-disciplinary team Skills and Experience Demonstrated experience working with co-morbid and addictions mental health issues A team player with the ability to work autonomously Excellent rapport building and communication skills Sound computer literacy Key Responsibilities Deliver group therapy whilst providing a variety of therapeutic based approaches Provide peer support / supervision to team members including nursing and social workers to facilitate appropriate patient and program outcomes Work with psychiatrists, nurses and allied health team members to provide the highest patient care and outcomes including effective mechanisms for discharge planning Your application must demonstrate your suitability to this role by addressing the key responsibilities of the position in a cover letter.
