This can range from mooring operations or flexible pipeline installation for traditional oil and gas, to cable installation and repair projects in the renewables sector. If you've got relevant experience using Orcaflex or a similar dynamic analysis program, we are interested in hearing from you. As part of the DOF Engineering Department, you will perform analysis to support the delivery of projects in the Atlantic Region with the opportunity to work with the teams in our other regional offices. Installation Analysis Engineers

working across the following activities: Performing installation or recovery analysis for flexible products (flexible pipelines, umbilicals, cables) Performing analysis for the overboarding or recovery of subsea structures Performing analysis for tow and mooring installation projects Providing project technical support during tendering and engineering phase upon award Utilising lessons learned to improve processes and techniques within the engineering team Participating in mentoring junior engineers and building on our values Offshore trips to maximise exposure to operations If you have relevant experience and are excited about working in a dynamic environment, we encourage you to apply to join our innovative team at DOF. Office location for the role is Aberdeen, UK Higher education (bachelor's/master's degree) and/or relevant work experience. Working understanding of DNV-ST-N001, DNV-RP-N103 Flexible product installation analysis and lay table development Lifting analysis for complex lifts (e.g. vessel to vessel and subsea) Modelling of hydrodynamic forces acting on floating bodies and lifted equipment in the splash zone In-place analysis of flexibles e.g. UBH and moorings Understanding of ship motions and development of RAOs Excellent reporting skills and a proven ability to translate complex results into plain English Use of software such as: Orcaflex, including automation using Python Orcawave Rhino (ship hull surface modelling for RAO development) MS Excel and Word Fluency in English; The position reports to the UK Engineering Manager.
