Full Time, Permanent Role Description

As an Analyst Tester you will work as part of a Delivery Team, facilitating the delivery of quality software by undertaking rigorous testing activities and providing accompanying documentation to support each release; to improve the quality of FNZ solutions, and to mitigate the risk of FNZ releasing defective business critical software to its clients. The Analyst Tester is required to work closely and proactively with Analyst Developers and Solution Architects to implement quality and future proof functionality. There is an expectation that the Analyst Tester will learn about our application, our business and the industry we operate in as well the range of test tools and methodologies we use to support our business. Specific Role Responsibilities

Develop and maintain a deep knowledge of the platform functionality and business processes related to a functional area. Understand and analyse business requirements to enable the design of detailed test requirements. Creation of clear, destructive, reusable and broad test cases that contain the appropriate level of detail. Draft and issue test plans, where appropriate. Plan and prioritise work for all incoming testing. Creating and maintaining appropriate test data. Perform test execution over FNZ solutions; ensuring the changes developed are to an acceptable standard by reviewing solutions and testing the changes end to end once the feature is available. Author reusable tests and conducting end to end system, regression and mis-use case testing as part of the production readiness process. Assist with user acceptance testing or other client support activities if required. Create and maintain test scripts in a test management tool, to a specified quality standard. Document and publish using a test management tool, all test results to a defined standard. Document and report issues arising from testing in a timely manner, and manage their resolution and tracking. Raise, validate and re-test defects. Participate in defect triage meetings as directed. Provide estimates of the testing effort to the Delivery Manager as required. Provide regular and timely updates to the Delivery Manager on progress to plan as well as key risk and issues. Issue testing status and completion reports to project teams and clients, and be able to present an overview of testing done to clients and to internal release boards as required. Be an active member of the test community within FNZ, contributing to team sessions and sharing best practice and lessons learnt. Assist in the ongoing development and improvement of testing standards and procedures across the company. Help mentor more junior members of the testing team. Proactively identify technical issues (environmental, coding and testing) that may impede test progress to enable early resolution of said technical issues. Maintain high standards regarding written and verbal communication to ensure that information is clearly and concisely documented and appropriately disseminated. Support process improvement initiatives and identify new process improvements. Essential Experience

Minimum 2 years testing experience incorporating several aspects of System testing, Regression testing, Load and Performance testing, UAT and OAT. Knowledge and awareness of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Lifecycle (STLC). Experience of working with different development methodologies e.g. Kanban, Scrum. Experience of working with test management tools (such as Jira) for test planning, executing and reporting. Confident, and able to take initiative given client and delivery focused environment. Excellent organisational, administration and time management skills. Good team communication skills, confident in dealing with internal and external clients. Highly developed written and oral communication skills. Superior analytical thinking and problem solving. Non-Essential Experience

Experience of working within the Financial Services sector. A background in automated testing (while the role is predominantly manual testing we are keen to hear from candidates with a background and/or enthusiasm in automated testing as we aim to roll this out more). Experience of training/mentoring junior members of a testing team. Knowledge of SQL. Non-Essential Education
