The role The data team play a crucial role in the GDST vision by developing and maintaining robust data solutions that enhance decision-making across our Trust. We are pioneers in girls’ education and aim to reshape the future of learning itself. We empower our girls to believe in themselves and value the positive contribution they can make to the world. Your work will ensure that we have accurate and reliable data systems in place, enabling us to monitor our progress, optimise our educational strategies, and ultimately improve the learning experience for our students. In this role, you will contribute to the development of the GDST data platform to support the delivery of reliable, actionable data and business intelligence to end users. You will design, build, and optimise ETL/ELT pipelines, ensuring efficient data workflows, and develop secure data models that enhance Business Intelligence outputs. Working closely with testers, analysts, and business stakeholders, you will resolve data issues, promote best practices, and support ongoing architecture improvements. What skills and experience you will bring to the role Strong SQL skills, data modelling, and knowledge of ETL/ELT processes Experience with DevOps practices, version control, and data governance Proven ability to develop data pipelines and build data visualisations Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams and end users Prior experience as an Analytics Engineer or Data Engineer Who we are The Girls’ Day School Trust (GDST) is the leading network of independent girls’ schools in the UK, educating approximately 8% of all girls at UK independent schools.
