This is a full-time, permanent role working daily on site at our Hillcrest site in Belton, just outside of Loughborough.

Please Note: Due to the nature of the role, candidates cannot have pet rodents (mice, rats, guinea-pigs, rabbits) or animals that feed on rodents (snakes, birds) due to biosecurity reasons.

Responsibilities:

Animal Care:

Providing exceptional care to rabbits and/or rodents, including feeding, cleaning, and breeding responsibilities in a production facility.

Facility Maintenance:

Maintaining a clean and sanitized environment through cleaning and power washing.

Recordkeeping:

Keeping accurate records of breeding, feeding, cleaning, and animal care activities.

Order Coordination:

Coordinating order details, including selection, packaging, and ensuring accuracy.

Sanitation:

Taking responsibility for the cleanliness of animal buildings, cages, and support areas.

Passion for Animals:

A genuine desire to work with and care for animals daily.

Handling Skills:

Comfort and proficiency in handling and holding rabbits and/or rodents.

Interest in Animal Development:

An interest in animal development and breeding.

Clean and Safe Environment:

A commitment to contributing to a clean and safe working environment.

Paperwork Skills:

Ability and willingness to complete necessary paperwork.

Availability:

Flexibility to work weekends and holidays on a rotating basis and willingness to work overtime when needed.
