An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Orbit team in Telford as an App Developer. This is a hybrid role. The role of App Developer is responsible for helping the team design, develop and maintain high quality applications and forms for mobile, tablet and web. The projects that will be worked on will be created within rapid development tools, such as Microsoft PowerApps, and will be used across the business to help drive productivity and solve business needs. The role requires a strong individual with an aptitude for problem solving, ability to estimate time taken to achieve set goals and the ability to work independently or as part of team, escalating any identified issues appropriately and in a timely manner. Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities

Adapting the design of applications to new designs when necessary Developing new applications to meet the requirements of the business Reacting to problems and correcting bugs within applications Assisting and providing insights in relation to document change control processes Combining elements of technical design and progression through build to testing and execution Key Skills Required

Data analysis, collection and management Problem-solving Strong communication skills Ability to comb through fine data as well as being able to step back and look at the bigger picture Good knowledge of SQL Good knowledge of MS Excel Ability to quickly learn new applications, processes and procedures Desirable Skills/Experience

Knowledge of coding languages, including JavaScript and SQL Experience of designing user interfaces and use of Rapid Development Platforms (such as PowerApps) Ability to work conscientiously, independently and to tight deadlines A high level of initiative and motivation Willingness and aptitude to learn quickly Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills Good communication skills, both oral and written What happens next?
