Description

We are looking for a highly motivated and passionate Apparel Graphic Designer to join our in-house "Own Brand" Design team at Footasylum's Head Office in Rochdale. We are home to multiple brands across men's, women's, kid's, and accessories.

The successful candidate should have a minimum of 2 years' previous experience working within the Highstreet Fashion Industry producing apparel Graphics. This should be supported with a relevant portfolio.

This role calls for advanced knowledge and experience in Adobe Creative Suite to create original brand-appropriate artworks, placement prints, repeats, and branding packs across all multi-product categories whilst understanding the target consumer and keeping a 'signature' handwriting for each brand's DNA.

This role gives great opportunity to the right candidate to work on Footasylum's "own brands" such as Zavetti Canada, Monterrain, Alessandro Zavetti, and many more, with excellent progression opportunities.

Responsibilities

Researching new trends/high street competitors with a focus on commerciality and produce/present customer trend analysis board Travelling to UK stores and attending research trips for inspiration Attending international and UK festivals and social events to identify the Footasylum customer Taking ideas from research to design concept by creating initial new designs to present to brand managers/buyers Demonstrating excellent understanding of different print techniques and innovating embellishment/print techniques Producing clear, concise technical Graphic CAD design specifications within specified time frames Utilising advanced knowledge of hand illustration, Photoshop, and Illustrator packages in order to create original artworks, placement prints, repeats, and branding to create graphics across all multi-product categories Liaising with product developers and factories overseas to give clear and concise comments Building and maintaining close links with the buying and design team Developing and supporting juniors and proofreading their work as required Diversity
