Role: Appian Solution Architect Location: Knutsford, hybrid, 2 days from office Duration: until December 31st Job description: Lead the design and architecture of Appian-based solutions, ensuring they meet business needs and align with best practices. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, define project scope, and provide technical guidance. Develop high-level design documents, process flows, and integration strategies for Appian applications. Must have excellent knowledge of core Appian concepts, records, SAIL interfaces, expression rules, functions, process models, deployments using pipeline, integrations, and Web APIs. Decent knowledge of database concepts. Oversee the development and deployment of Appian applications, ensuring quality, performance, and scalability. Mentor and guide Appian developers, providing technical expertise and fostering a collaborative team environment. Perform code reviews, troubleshoot issues, and optimize application performance. Stay up to date with Appian platform updates and industry trends, incorporating new features and best practices into project solutions. Lead and participate in project planning, estimation, and status reporting activities. Ensure compliance with security, data governance, and regulatory requirements in all Appian implementations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Appian applications with other enterprise systems. SKILLS/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED 8+ years of overall IT experience and 5+ years of experience in designing and developing applications on the Appian platform. Proven experience as an Appian Architect or Senior Developer with a strong understanding of Appian architecture and best practices. Proficiency in Appian versions 20.x or later, with experience in application design, process modeling, and integrations. Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies, with experience in Scrum/Agile methodologies with application development projects. Experience with Appian plug-ins, Appian Administration, and Appian cloud deployments. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Appian certification(s) (e.g., Appian Certified Lead Developer, Appian Certified Senior Developer) is a plus.
