£26,421 - £28,770 / year Description This is an opportunity to become a valued member of Torbay Council's IT team. Torbay Council is a Unitary Authority comprised of three coastal Devon towns – Torquay, Paignton and Brixham. Residents enjoy easy access to numerous beaches and attractions, as well as having Dartmoor National Park virtually on the doorstep. However, this role is also available to remote workers. The successful candidate will fulfil an important role within the Council's IT department. As part of a friendly and supportive team, you will be working closely with others to ensure that issues affecting the Council's numerous IT systems are dealt with efficiently and effectively, causing minimal disruption to service users. You will also support the advancement of the use of Microsoft 365 within the Council by becoming familiar with the various products and learning how to apply them in a work environment. This would particularly suit someone starting out on their IT career where the main requirements are a keen interest in IT and a willingness to learn. You will be fully supported in developing your technical skills, with a view to progressing your career within the team in the future. We are looking for someone who is customer focussed and has experience of helping others regarding the use of IT. You will have experience of coding in at least one language (not necessarily in a work environment). You will be fully or partly qualified to degree level in an IT related field (or have equivalent practical experience of IT). A wide range of benefits is available to Torbay Council employees.
