They supply tools and tooling solutions throughout Europe and in order to further strengthen their team, they require a talented Applications Engineer. Utilising both your technical and commercial skills, you will be supporting the development of customer relationships within direct and distribution networks. Working within the sales team and reporting to the Regional Manager, you will be covering the Leeds, Harrogate and Yorkshire areas as well as the North East and should ideally live in the Leeds or Harrogate area. Supporting an Area Sales Engineer, you will be providing technical support and will be responsible for the promotion of a range of high-quality cutting tools and solutions to the Aerospace, Oil & Gas and Automotive sectors. A strong, technical CNC background with a first class understanding of metal cutting and machining processes is essential and ideally you will have worked as a Miller, Turner, Setter or Operator. You should be comfortable reading engineering drawings and ideally you will have a Mechanical Engineering qualification or will have served a technical apprenticeship. It may be that you already have some experience in Cutting Tools sales with distributors and direct customers though this is not essential. A comprehensive induction programme and product training are offered and whilst excellent support will be provided, you should be capable of working on your own initiative. IT literate, you’ll have first class communication and negotiation skills combined with a winning mentality.
