Application Engineer Full Time, Permanent Salary Bracket - £45-50k DOE Remote Based Role Do you have excellent attention to detail, with a flair for customer service? Have you got experience within a manufacturing setting? If so, this might be the role for you! Our client is looking for a Technical Application Engineer who can effectively provide CAD/CAM technical support, training, and applications engineering to our customers. As an Application Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering top-tier technical support to our customers, both remotely and onsite. For this role we are keen to hear from any candidate who has experience in the following industries - sheet metal, cutting or fabrication. Or from someone who has recently graduated with a relevant degree. Responsibilities: Provide technical support to customers via phone, email and in person Ensure troubleshooting technical issues are dealt with in a timely manner Offer online, onsite and in-house training courses to customers Install CAD/CAM software into manufacturing facilities Ensure customers are fully set up on all systems implemented Tailor software systems in line with customers' manufacturing requirements Generate programs to test machine functionality Provide technical sale support demonstration and competitive analysis Skills and Experience: Bachelors's degree in engineering or related field 3+ years of experience in CAD/CAM technical support, training, and applications engineering Any SQL experience is also desireable Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Experience in manufacturing, fabrication, and cutting machinery Excellent communication and customer service skills Due to the nature of the role, a full driving license and access to a car is essential. If you are a technical problem solver with a passion for providing superior customer service and have experience in CAD/CAM technical support, training, and applications engineering, then this is the role for you!
