Erskine Stewart’s Melville Schools are currently recruiting for an Applications Lead to join on a permanent basis from February 2025 (subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks). The role is full time, working Monday to Friday 8.30am-4.30pm with 45 minutes unpaid for lunch, totalling a paid working week of 36.25 hours with a salary of £48,002. The role is based across both sites at Ravelston and Queensferry Road, with opportunity to work from home. The purpose of the role is to ensure the school's applications are effectively integrated, maintained, and aligned with user needs, delivering a seamless experience for parents, staff, and pupils. This will include such duties as: Analysing and understanding system needs

by collaborating with key internal and external stakeholders to inform application strategy and delivery. Overseeing the application architecture and roadmap

to ensure future-proofed solutions, starting with the implementation of a new MIS. Ensuring applications are fit for purpose, cost-effective, and secure , particularly those supporting teaching and learning. The successful candidate must have experience overseeing the delivery and maintenance of applications, working in an application support environment, and possessing knowledge of project delivery. They should hold a relevant degree in Information Technology or a related field, with certifications such as TOGAF being desirable, along with familiarity with MIS systems. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, combined with a proactive and organised approach, will be essential for success in this role.
