Job Description Summary As an Applications Specialist at BD Biosciences, you will provide expert training and flow cytometry support to users of BD Biosciences reagents and instrumentation across the UK and Ireland. This field-based role requires regular travel, including overnight stays, to clinical diagnostic laboratories and healthcare facilities. The position offers flexibility and considers work-life balance, ensuring you can thrive both professionally and personally. Reporting to the Applications Specialist Manager, you will also support the sales team with pre-sales demonstrations, workshops, and seminars.

Main responsibilities will include: Deliver on-site, in-house, and virtual flow cytometry training and application support to laboratory technicians, biomedical scientists, and clinicians. Work within fast-paced clinical settings, assisting diagnostic laboratories in achieving timely and accurate results. Support the integration of Laboratory Information Management Systems for BD Biosciences solutions. Conduct pre-sales demonstrations of instrumentation, reagents, and solutions. Deliver customer-focused seminars, presentations, and workshops. Provide internal product training to team members. Collaborate with local and regional teams to achieve business objectives. About you: A degree in life sciences, ideally with a focus on immunology, haematology, or cell biology; a postgraduate qualification is advantageous. Extensive laboratory experience with flow cytometry applications. Strong knowledge of clinical diagnostic laboratory processes and protocols, with the ability to support NHS, HSE, and private pathology labs. Comfortable working within regulated clinical environments. Excellent troubleshooting skills and a methodical problem-solving approach. Skilled in delivering training and presentations, with strong interpersonal and communication abilities. Click on apply if this sounds like you!
