Specialty Chemicals About the Opportunity: Our client, a global leader in the specialty chemicals sector, is seeking a highly skilled Applications Technician to join their innovation team. This position plays a critical role in driving the development of new materials, applications, and technical platforms within the Active Materials domain. Key Responsibilities: Lead the design and execution of technical programs focused on material development and application testing. Innovate new material compositions and morphologies, supporting diverse applications such as electro-ceramics, battery technologies, and catalysis. Provide detailed analysis and reporting of material characterization and application performance to inform key R&D decisions. Drive advancements in synthesis methods and testing protocols to align with business goals. Serve as a technical expert, supporting cross-functional teams and external partnerships. Ensure laboratory equipment is maintained to deliver high-quality, reliable results. Ideal Candidate Profile: Holds a degree (or equivalent) in chemistry, materials science, physics, or a related discipline. Demonstrates strong experience in research and development, particularly in laboratory and pilot-scale process development. Brings knowledge of pigment science, material characterization techniques, or battery technologies (preferred). Exhibits exceptional problem-solving skills, a collaborative approach, and adaptability to dynamic business needs. Possesses excellent communication skills and thrives in both technical and cross-functional environments.
