Apprentice Autocare Technician

Apprentice Autocare Technician focuses on to assist in the repairs, routine maintenance, and service of vehicles to a consistently high standard.

What the role involves

• To assist in the repairs, routine maintenance, and service of vehicles to a consistently high standard.
• Under supervision, carry out work on vehicles in accordance with the manufacture’s procedures.
• Ensure all work carried out is completed accurately and to the customer’s satisfaction.
• To report, using the correct procedures, any additional work found during repair/inspection.
• Accurately complete job cards and reports, including any written descriptions of faults found or repairs completed.
• To comply with the company's working practices and procedures. Ensure all work is carried out observing safe working practices of self and others.

Skills and requirements

• GCSE A-C or 9-4 in Maths and English or equivalent. Predicted grades.
• Length of provision 27 months apprentice programme.
• 97% of our apprentices have progressed onto Full Time employment.
• 36% of our apprentices are now in senior roles and management positions.

Candidate fit

• Be able to develop productive and cooperative relationships with customers and colleagues, using rapport building techniques, empathy, and effective interpersonal skills.
