Erith (DA8 1HN) Qualifications Required:

GCSE Level 9-4 (or Grade A-C) in English and Maths, or equivalent in these subjects. Erith Flooring is an established flooring retailer and contractor. They supply all types of flooring and install carpet, vinyl, wood flooring, and laminate. They have a wide clientele, including several celebrities, and are looking for someone who understands confidentiality. They work in both the domestic and commercial sectors. Travel Information: Erith Station Bus 229 - Fraser Road (Stop D) then 2 min walk Barnehurst Station Bus 229 - Thamesmead, Mill Road (Stop H) then 2 min walk The work involves all aspects of a flooring contractor: admin, telephone answering, estimating, calculating, unloading deliveries, assisting fitters, site surveys, filing, and data input to computer. You will need to deal with celebrities and the general public alike, offering the same high level of service to every customer. Generally supporting our small team and gaining hands-on experience in all aspects of the business. You will be required to engage in all aspects of customer service to support our customer base and our fitters. Duties will include: Provide excellent customer service via e-mail, telephone, and internal messaging systems Day-to-day use of Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, and Excel Meet and greet duties for customers Deal with orders and payments Provide customers with advice, guidance, and support Assist with customer issues, aftercare, and service recovery Data organizing/reporting Work closely with colleagues to ensure everything is managed accurately Wage

As of 1st April 2024, the National Minimum Wage (NMW) for Apprentices is £6.40 per hour. This applies to 16-18 year old Apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other Apprentices, the Apprentice National Minimum Wage appropriate to their age applies. The wage for Apprentices applies to both time spent on the job plus time spent in training. Hours

On-the-job training with the employer while working towards the Apprenticeship Standard - Customer Services Practitioner Level 2 Standard will establish an Apprentice's skills to deliver high-quality service to customers both internally and externally. The Apprenticeship will incorporate knowledge of customers and the customer experience, understanding the organization, its products/services, and their role and responsibilities. Regular work-based assessments/observations will be carried out by Kent Training & Apprenticeships Tutor Assessor to determine competency and meet Awarding Body standards. The employer has requested that you do not contact them directly, as doing so could jeopardize your application. You will be responsible for your travel expenses to and from your place of work. Therefore, you must have the means to get to your place of work daily while waiting for your first wages to be paid.
