Some more brief responsibilities of an Apprentice Engineer are: The job requires a good understanding of work routines and procedures in one's own job. The technical procedures for this level are well defined. The job requires proficient knowledge of these procedures and how to apply them. The knowledge can only be acquired through formal training or considerable experience. To observe, abide by and enforce the Company's and client's Health and Safety policies. The role will be at a residential college during the first year and will be day release study time for one day per week in years 2-4. The apprentice should ensure all course work is completed in a timely manner in order to attain a suitable qualification. Supporting the Service Engineers to carry out: Breakdown work - troubleshooting /fault finding Preventative maintenance work for customers with service contracts Commissioning work - involving the installation of new products Timely reporting on progress or delays for customers Timely completion and submission of risk assessments, work reports, time sheets and all other work related documentation Site tasks and activities as required After-sales technical and commercial support to customers Minimum Requirements: GCSE or equivalent - English, Maths and Science Full UK Driving Licence Customer Focused Strong Communication Skills Excellent Time Management A good level of IT competency Good organisational skills Able to prioritise workload and manage multiple tasks Additionally, having the following is a bonus: BTEC and / or NVQ in an Engineering discipline Working towards City & Guilds or equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering or similar Knowledge and/or experience in using Google Suite If so, we have a fantastic opportunity to join our leading, well-respected water technologies company, where you will play a pivotal role in the repair and maintenance of our products at a wide variety of clients and provide you with continuous training throughout your journey with us.
