A position for Level 3 Early Years Practitioner apprenticeship has arisen at Teeny Feet Day Nursery. Teeny Feet Day Nursery is a Good OFSTED setting. We care for babies from 6 months to 5 years old and after school 5 to 11 years.
We are looking for someone that has a passion to work with babies and young children and wants to support their development while gaining a full qualification in early years.
As a member of the nursery staff, the post holder will take shared responsibility for the planning, recording, implementation, and evaluation of an inclusive early year’s curriculum in accordance with Birth to 5 Matters.
Other duties include providing high-quality care, planning stimulating activities based on children's individual needs, being a key worker, tracking/monitoring the children’s progress through observation, and writing children’s progress reports.
You will ensure the children feel safe and secure and provide opportunities for them to learn both indoors and outdoors.
The successful applicants do not need previous experience of working in Early Years or knowledge and understanding of the new EYFS Birth – 5 Matters and its current legislation but must have good written and verbal communication skills.
Basic knowledge and understanding of safeguarding children’s legislations as well as the Birth – 5 Matters is an advantage.
Commitment to providing safe, high-quality care and education for children, which meets the needs and interests of the child, is essential.
