Water Process Commissioning Engineer

Apprentice, you'll: Oversee the commissioning and start-up of water treatment projects. Follow detailed plans to test systems and ensure they meet design standards. Collaborate with design teams to improve systems, adjust settings, and enhance efficiency through performance data review. Train as a wastewater process technician, focusing on recycling processes within the commissioning team. Work closely with contractors to test, optimize, and run new treatment plants and systems before handover. Calibrate equipment to ensure precise operations. Maintain accurate records and create detailed commissioning reports. Collaborate with project teams and training operations staff for smooth system transitions. Uphold health and safety standards in all commissioning activities. Ensure systems seamlessly move from commissioning to routine operational use. What Are We Looking For? A passion for problem-solving and sustainability. GCSEs (Grade A-C or 9-4 in Math, English, and Science) or Level 2 Functional Skills. (please note that predicted grades will be accepted if you have not yet completed your exams) A willingness to work outdoors and take on challenges A growth mindset and a drive to explore, learn, and contribute to a greater purpose. Your Learning Journey You will attend Grantham college on a block release schedule, spending Monday to Thursday there for two weeks at a time, which amounts to eight college days per month. The remaining time will be spent on-the-job learning, applying your learning and gaining hands-on experience. Your learning journey will also be supported with a minimum of 6 hours per week of off-the-job training. This course usually takes 5 years to complete. (Travel costs to/from college will be covered, in line with our expenses reimbursement policy).
