Overall Mission Project Engineering leads all CAPEX projects in support of Clitheroe manufacturing, quality, R&D, and, as required, outsourced manufacturing groups. CAPEX spend resourced by the engineering team in the UK is approximately $8 million per year, and with significant increases in investment planned, this is a great time to join the team.

As a Project Engineering Apprentice, you will: Lead standing AFE capital projects and support project engineers in the delivery of large capital projects. The role also provides strong organization and support to the UK engineering department to ensure safe and compliant processes are implemented and followed.

Job Responsibilities Leadership of standing AFE projects, up to $25k in value, and support for project engineers in the delivery of large capital projects. Projects are typically manufacturing & chemical processing biased.

Roles and Responsibilities include: Leads standing AFE activities from funding approval through to asset in service. Helps facilitate the budget management and asset tracking of the UK standing AFE budgets (CLO, LBO & R&D). Supports project engineers in the successful completion of medium to high complexity projects, e.g.:

Takes ownership for specific WBS elements within a project. Takes leadership for aspects of project deliverables, e.g. validation documentation, calibration, etc. Connects with relevant operations departments to ensure key elements of handover to operations are completed on time in full, e.g. training plans, preventative maintenance plans, etc.

Takes ownership of the project engineering library. Coordinates with subject matter experts across the team to establish & implement key safety, quality, and project management best practices, e.g.:

Monitoring the LOTO process. Establishing a library of relevant industry standards & best practice guides.

Qualifications / Experience This role is targeted for a level 6 apprenticeship programme.
