Working in a specific flagship scheme you will support the project delivery teams by providing assistance in the following: Support the commercial teams on all day-to-day administrative activity, including producing reports as required. Support the team on project closure and final account activities attendance at contractor performance meetings. Develop a working knowledge of quantity surveying best practices and framework agreement contract management. Work with the commercial team to gain a wider understanding of the business and its interface with the client and subcontractor fraternity. Develop relationships with key internal and external customers to support commercial activity. What is the Apprentice Programme?

Apprenticeship: You will undertake a L4 Construction QS Technician at Salford College or L6 Quantity Surveying Degree Apprenticeship at Salford University (depending on qualifications). Qualifications required to apply: 3 A Levels or an equivalent Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject, or significant experience in the industry. As well as English and Maths GCSE at grade C or above (or equivalent functional skills level 2). Basic IT skills, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Good use of Written English. Grade 3 Math and English at GCSE. Flexibility – The role is essentially site-based and whilst there may be periods when attendance at an office (either MWH or a Client's), the need to commute anywhere within the Severn Trent region on a daily basis or on occasion lodge locally to a place of work is a requirement of the role. Strong communication skills – both written and verbal are essential, and you must be able to work well within a team and independently. Strong work ethic – self-motivated, flexible, and reliable with good problem-solving skills. You will also have a strong client service focus and excellent organisational skills with the ability to multi-task. Excellent computer skills – a good understanding of Microsoft Office is essential. Curiosity - a natural curiosity regarding how things work is a desirable characteristic common to all commissioning engineers.
