If yes! We are looking for a good team player to join us as Apprentice Wind Turbine Technician.

Some of your key tasks will include but not be limited to:

Maintenance of hydraulic, mechanical, electrical and complex control systems

Troubleshooting and fault diagnosis of hydraulic, mechanical, electrical and complex control systems

Component replacement

Assisting with completion of documentation relating to above along with health and safety documentation

Applicants must possess at least three GCSE's at Grade C or above (or new equivalent) Scottish candidates must have three at National 5 level

including:

Math, English/Language and Science, PREFERABLY Physics, or an Engineering Qualification. Or, in the case of those currently studying for their GCSEs, have corresponding predicted grades (NB: failure to achieve predicted grades would result in any offer of employment being withdrawn).

YOU MUST

reside within 45 minutes of the relevant site, in this case (Buckie)

Have a good head for heights

Be prepared to work in challenging environments

Be confident enough to live and work away from home and be prepared to live alongside your fellow apprentices in shared accommodation which will be provided by the business. First 18 months of this apprenticeship will involve staying away from home near to Scunthorpe

Have enthusiasm in abundance as well as long-term commitment to the apprenticeship and to the business

Possess a keen interest in engineering, technology and the Environment

Have sound manual skills and an interest or ability to work with electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems

Understand money management

Have a natural ability to apply care and attention to detail and be able to adhere to health and safety requirements

Show respect for others

How the recruitment process works

Once the job advert closes we will review all applications and if we think that you’re the right fit for the role, you will be shortlisted and will then be invited to complete an online video interview. The successful candidates will then join us at our Recruitment Assessment Centre. Finally, if you are successful here you will be offered an initial four year fixed term contract of employment subject to you successfully passing:

A practical working at heights test

A medical and fitness test

You will also need to provide the correct Right to Work documentation and relevant exam certification

Please note that any offer of employment made can be withdrawn at this stage should there be any issues with the above mandatory requirements!
