We are looking to recruit 3 x permanent Approved Mental Health Professionals to our Mental Health Adult Social Care team. The team provides a comprehensive health and social care service to residents. Our Mental Health Team operates under the Care Act and works alongside NHS colleagues to meet the needs of our residents. Are you a qualified AMHP? We are looking for dedicated and highly motivated team players to join us as AMHPs working in line with the Mental Health Act 2014. Our AMHPs play a critical role in supporting people by promoting the least restrictive approach to mental health recovery. You will have the opportunity to: Work in a forward-thinking Council and within teams that have clear, shared values. Work with local people to understand their care and support needs. Be pivotal in ensuring people are connected to the support services and community assets they need. Receive great support from our proactive and knowledgeable management team. Enhance your legal literacy and work closely with our great legal support services. Develop and progress in your career through training and development opportunities. You will have: Professional Social Work/OT/Mental Health Nurse/Psychologist qualification. AMHP qualification (postgraduate certificate on master’s level). Experience of managing high risk, complex cases and safeguarding Adults. Experience of working in a mental health team. Understanding of services essential to meeting the needs of people with Mental Health needs. Ability to communicate effectively with customers, carers and families. Ability to cope positively with change. Awareness of importance of multi-disciplinary working. Ability to carry out assessment and support planning in line with relevant legislation. Self-motivating individual with the passion to make a difference in adult social care.
