We are now recruiting for a Lead Architectural Engineer, to join us on our major project located in Warrington Purpose and Scope: As Lead Architectural Engineer, you will be responsible for a variety of engineering tasks in the initial planning and design phase of projects. Under the direction of the Project Engineering Manager, interacts with other disciplines, project support groups, subcontractors, vendors and client representatives as appropriate on an assigned project. Essential Responsibilities: Performs engineering calculations, prepares specifications, performs analyses, performs testing, issues reports and maintains related dataMaintains liaison with design and drafting groupsPrepares and reviews drawings as requiredAdvises the Lead Project Engineer about status of assignment(s) with respect to schedule, delays and adverse problemsEnsures quality, quantity and completeness of the assigned engineering tasksPlans and schedules engineering efforts associated with assigned projectMaintains timely and accurate oral and written technical reports regarding assigned engineering activitiesKeeps proper engineering files and recordsUnderstands and uses computer software and applications associated with engineering assignmentsContinually upgrades technical knowledge and capabilities and pursues additional trainingExpresses ideas clearly and listens effectively to the ideas of othersFamiliar with codes, permits and company cornerstone applicationsFamiliar with the work sequence, general content, and the methods used to generate specifications for the purchase of material, equipment, systems, services, or construction within engineer's disciplineCan read and understand construction drawingsCan fully integrate constructability concerns into engineering solutionsPerforms all other position related duties as assigned or requested. Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested. Experience: Ideally Degree Qualified or HNC/HND in engineering disciplinePrevious experience in highly regulated industriesProven experience in delivering projects of over £1 millionProven excellent analytical and organisational skillsFlexibility and ability to adapt to a changing work environment previous experience of managing high value projectsProven knowledge of nuclear site decommissioning and waste management You will be eligible for UK SC security clearance.
