Due to continued success and future business growth, we have an exciting opportunity for an Architectural Manager to join our team based at our Scotland head office in Edinburgh. The Role Are you an Architectural Manager with residential housebuilding experience? Are you organised, analytical and have a good attention to detail? Joining our team as Architectural Manager, you will form an integral part of the wider regional Technical team with the main purpose of the role focusing on the management, control and reporting of all architectural matters. To be considered for this vacancy, you must currently be employed as an Architectural Manager or Senior Architect, with new build experience gained from either a new homes developer or consultancy. Key duties and requirements You will also be responsible for but not limited to; Designing and implementing new developments through all stages of RIBA Plan of Work. Working closely with the Regional Planning Manager from site identification to preparing and submitting planning applications. Assisting the Head of Technical and Technical Manager in the production or procurement of comprehensive feasibility studies and technical investigations for inclusion in Land Appraisals. Managing and implementing design updates of the Avant Homes house type range as required. Assisting customer service with Architectural related queries and complaints. Pre-qualifying, procuring and appointing external consultancy services as required in the delivery of the project. Creating and management of construction details and specification. Being a key driver of planned infrastructure meetings, to advise on the current Architectural position. Engaging fully in the determining, agreeing, and ensuring the Architectural team are delivering site start programmes and development programmes within agreed timescales. Assisting with the effective management of CDM-C/Health & Safety responsibilities on all developments, and at all times comply with responsibilities under the Company's Health and Safety and Environmental and Corporate Responsibility Policies and all other company policies, procedures and instruction. Managing the timely review and sign off GCI's and marketing data issued by Sales and used in preparation of Marketing developments by the Architectural team. Who are we looking for? As well as being able to demonstrate your experience within a senior architectural environment, you will also convey an aptitude to combine strong organisation and communication skills with the ability to relate to all levels of staff and stakeholders, also maintaining a keen desire to work in a quality driven business. To be considered for this role you should also possess; A full UK driving licence. A relevant qualification or working experience within Architectural Management. The ability to manage an Architectural team within a housebuilding environment. Experience in preparing planning application packs, including in-house layout design. A working knowledge of all ACAD and other software packages. Broad Technical knowledge and Commercial awareness. Broad awareness of codes of practice that impact on technical matters e.g., Planning policy, Building Regulations, NHBC requirements, HSE etc. Broad knowledge of Construction Design Management Regulations.
