Architectural Technician Required in Aberdeenshire Your new company Our client is a leading residential construction company dedicated to building high-quality homes that combine innovative design with sustainable practices. Your new role The company is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Architectural Technician to join the team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the design and construction process, working closely with architects, engineers, energy assessors, construction & sales teams to ensure the successful delivery of residential projects. Roles include: Prepare detailed architectural drawings and plans using CAD software. Assist in the development of design concepts and construction documentation. Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project specifications are met. Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance with design specifications. Review and modify plans as necessary to accommodate changes and ensure accuracy. Ensure all designs comply with relevant building codes and regulations. Provide technical support and guidance to the construction team. What you'll need to succeed Degree or diploma in Architectural Technology or a related field. Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD/Revit). Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and construction processes. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. The ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Strong communication and organisational skills. Previous experience in residential construction is an advantage. What you'll get in return The salary for this role is between £30,000 & £40,000 and will be negotiated dependent on the successful candidates' experience. On offer, there will be a hybrid working model whereby the individual can work from home 1 day per week. You will have the opportunity to work towards a promotion to development manager/architectural designer.
