What is the role?
They have an opportunity for a confident Architectural Technician to join our successful team.
You will be an integral part of the Technical department, producing working drawings using both portfolio and bespoke unit types.
The role will include:
Producing technical information on CAD and communicating this information to the Construction departments to maintain the build programme and ensure compliance with Building Control. Being responsible for the timely production of both presentation and construction information to ensure design concepts are communicated and implemented accurately. Developing a comprehensive knowledge of the current Building Regulations, NHBC Standards, and ensuring compliance for the build process to meet our regulatory standards. Establishing good working relationships with Site staff and Department Heads to ensure schemes are constructed as intended and encouraging feedback for future schemes. Producing working drawing information that ensures schemes are designed to high standards to suit building, marketing, and economic considerations while maintaining a level of unit consistency and efficiency. Agreeing and working to design programme delivery dates and meeting these targets to ensure the build remains on programme. Assisting in the production of information relating to the set up of production of planning layouts with eventual progression and integration into BIM-based systems.
What They need from you?
A technical qualification or qualification through experience with sufficient working drawings experience along with building regulations knowledge.
Experience of working on residential housing schemes is desirable; AutoCAD technical skills are essential.
