In order to meet ever growing demand, a dynamic and ambitious Architectural Technician/Technologist with broad ranging design experience, is required to support the delivery of a portfolio of prestigious projects for a highly regarded, well established and growing architectural practice.

Our client is a versatile, design-focused practice based in Weybridge with a portfolio of residential, commercial and listed building projects throughout the South of the UK.They offer bespoke design and planning services for high-end, one-off, residential clients to larger, multi-unit and mixed retail/housing schemes, whilst also working on a number of leisure, commercial, industrial and community projects.

Due to their ongoing success, repeat business and new referrals, they are proud to be growing and now have an exciting opportunity for an Architectural Technician/Technologist to join the friendly team.

The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of building construction and detailing, demonstrated by a good working knowledge of Autocad and, ideally, Revit.Experience and a familiarity with a range of construction methods is essential in addition to the practical ability to coordinate work with other team members and create detailed technical drawings to a high standard and specification.The candidate should have a solution-focused attitude with a commitment to continuous improvement and experience of working under own initiative, at pace to meet deadlines.The candidate should have a clear understanding of roles and responsibilities and manage flow of information from other team members.

Key Responsibilities Manage and produce technical drawing packages. Have a good knowledge of and a clear understanding of Building regulations. Be competent in the use of AutoCAD Produce detailed technical drawings and specifications to a high standard. Help prepare planning drawings which are produced using Revit software Have good communication skills with a range of stakeholders Work under limited supervision to agreed timescales and deadlines Manage and coordinate work with team members in a timely manner

Skills & Experience Have previous experience in a similar Architectural Technologist/Technician role. Experience of working on planning and Building Regulations applications and know how to manage and communicate effectively with team members and a range of stakeholders. Strong technical, written, verbal and graphical presentation skills with proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office suite, Autocad and, ideally, Revit. Sound knowledge of Building Regulations. Experience using Lumion software would be a distinct advantage, although it is not essential. Share our client's commitment to excellence in developing client relationships Possess good verbal and written communication skills and have a commitment to continuous improvement Be comfortable working in a small team and have the confidence and passion to progress your own learning and development. Have a full understanding of relevant construction, health and safety legislation, planning standards and UK building regulations.

The position is generally office based but hybrid may be considered.
