Area Director of Clinical Performance (North of England)

Stroud Resourcing is seeking an exceptional candidate for the role of Area Director of Clinical Performance covering the north of England with an award-winning UK healthcare provider. This position not only offers a competitive salary of £85,000 but also includes a comprehensive benefits package featuring company bonus, private health insurance, life assurance, 33 days of annual leave, and much more. This is an exciting time to join this dynamic organisation in a corporate clinical role that is both full-time and hybrid. The role requires a balance between working from home and travelling to various hospital sites across the North Region. Typically, the successful candidate will spend three days per week on-site and two days working from home. As the Area Director of Clinical Performance, the role encompasses a variety of responsibilities: Collaborating closely with hospitals within the region to ensure that local nursing and clinical standards align with clinical governance, statutory requirements, safeguarding, and compliance. Ensuring that clinical policies, procedures, and operating standards are current, implemented effectively, and audited as part of the clinical audit programme. Supporting all facilities in meeting and exceeding regulatory standards, preparing for regulatory and other external inspections, accreditations, and self-assessments (CQC/HIS/HIW). This includes coordinating audit visits, compiling audit reports, and reviewing audit action plans to ensure that improvement actions are implemented. Ensuring that standards of care, patient safety, and clinical governance are robust and effective across the cluster of sites. To be considered for this role, candidates must be experienced nurse leaders with active NMC/HCPC registration. The ideal candidate will be performing a like-for-like role or be an existing Director of Clinical Services or Matron with experience managing multi-disciplinary clinical teams within a private acute setting. Strong attention to detail, efficient problem-solving skills, and confidence in managing and implementing change are essential. We welcome applications from individuals based within the North of the UK, ranging from Nottingham up to Scotland and anywhere in between. In return for your expertise and dedication, you will receive an excellent salary and a comprehensive benefits package. For a confidential chat reach out to Charlotte White at 01904 239910.
