The main duties and responsibilities of the role include: Proactive recruitment and interviewing of technical candidates and appraising their suitability. Business development with clients including working to a strategic business plan. Assisting Senior Management with Professional Service Frameworks and contracts. Colleague management and support including mentoring, annual colleague progression reviews, planning training and career development. Attending networking events, socials and CPD seminars. Progressing your technical career on a secondment with a public or private sector client. The ideal candidate will have: Experience in civil or structural engineering, traffic engineering or transport planning, or related discipline. Experience in a public sector organisation or consultancy environment. Capacity for learning business development, recruiting and commercial skills. Knowledge of local marketplace for technical professionals. Good verbal and written communication skills. A positive outlook and enthusiastic attitude. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Experience in, or aptitude for people management. Ambition to develop management skills and a quick learner. A full UK driving licence. Degree or HNC level qualification or have equivalent UK experience. Membership of a relevant professional Institution.
