On behalf of our Client, we have an excellent opportunity in the technical sales team of this rapidly growing business for an experienced Field-based Area Sales Engineer with a proven track record as a business developer and excellent salesman in the Electrical Control and Automation industry. The Sales Engineer will be selling a full range of high-quality Industrial Control & Automation products, including: PLC Control Gear Switchgear & Circuit Protection Variable Speed Drives Sensors HMI Process Instrumentation You will provide customized and packaged solutions into the OEM, End User, System Integrator, and Panel Builder markets across Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire, and Derby in the East Midlands. While induction and ongoing training will be provided, the successful candidate will have sales and technical experience in the Industrial Automation industry, coupled with a record of sales success. A formal qualification in an Electrical/Electronic discipline is desirable but not essential; however, the ability to demonstrate your knowledge and sales skill is crucial. Ideally, you will have benefited from further career development training to enhance your sales skills. You will work to achieve defined sales targets and will be capable of developing a personal plan to achieve your objectives by managing and further developing an existing portfolio of accounts while constantly striving to identify new avenues of business. This role requires road travel, so flexibility is expected to meet the needs of the business. Excellent attributes such as good organizational and communication skills, along with the ability to be an effective team player while enjoying a level of autonomy, are essential, as is capability with Microsoft packages.
