Position Overview: As Sales Manager, you will be the face of the business, responsible for proactively identifying and securing new business opportunities. By networking with existing and prospective clients, you will develop a deep understanding of their project pipelines and material needs, while managing all business development activities. Staying ahead of market trends and competitor activity is crucial. Key Responsibilities: Proactively identify and secure new projects opportunities within the area. Network with existing and prospective clients to understand their project needs and material requirements. Spend significant time in the field visiting customers to support their building product needs. Develop and maintain a robust network of industry contacts. Research potential clients and build strong relationships to encourage business growth. Prepare and present proposals that align with client needs, concerns, and objectives. Participate in project discussions and sales negotiations. Handle client objections effectively, working towards positive outcomes. Collaborate with team members to ensure excellent customer service delivery. Qualifications and Skills: Proven experience in a sales role within the construction supply sector. Strong motivation and drive to secure and increase sales opportunities. Proactive and enthusiastic approach with a customer-first attitude. A good understanding of quality, health, safety, and environmental practices. Valid site certificates including CSCS card. Ability to grow, maintain, and leverage a network of contacts. Excellent research skills and ability to identify potential clients and decision-makers. Strong communication and negotiation skills. Self-motivated and disciplined in managing a busy schedule. Focused and persistent with a strong desire to succeed. Team player capable of collaborating effectively with colleagues.
