Regional Sales Manager / Sales Director The route to market is primarily through local partners (agents, resellers, distributors) although some end user customers may be serviced directly. The role includes promoting Sonatest, training partners, and developing the sales territory to increase sales. Sales growth will be achieved by a combination of maximizing potential from existing partners/customers whilst also identifying and developing new partners/customers in line with the agreed sales plan. The Sales Manager will provide market and competitor information and be involved in annual business and sales planning. Responsibilities Look after the company’s interests at all times Maintain strict confidentiality on all matters relating to company business Ensure that the company’s procedures are followed The Sales Manager will be responsible for a geographic territory and will primarily generate sales by training, developing, and motivating partners. Overseas travel will be required as appropriate to maintain regular contact with partners and the market. Tasks and responsibilities will include: Advise, support, direct, and motivate partners. Agree written annual plans and carry out regular review meetings Provide regular structured training Train and support partners in customer presentations and instrument demonstrations Attend exhibitions and networking events Obtain sufficient suitable enquiries for Sonatest products When required, liaise effectively with other departments to ensure the efficient completion of enquiries Support Customer Service staff if/as required with customer communications and relationships Negotiate and secure orders Ensure the agreed allocated tasks and order targets are met or exceeded Record and maintain customer contact details and visit reports in the CRM system Carry out market research to identify potential new applications, solutions, and/or industry sectors. Encourage and assist partners to enter them When appropriate, identify potential new partners and support communication and negotiations Provide monthly progress reports and information for forecasting, budgets, and business planning Gather and report market intelligence on competitors, customers, and relevant industries Provide feedback and recommendations regarding competitiveness of Sonatest commercial proposals, products, services, and potential new product/market opportunities Training and Development Full training in Sonatest products will be provided Training and development needs will be discussed during an annual appraisal and development process Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) Winning profitable orders which meet or exceed budget target Knowledge of Sonatest technology, products, and markets Training and development of partners Territory Although the preferred candidate would be based in Eastern Europe, the territory can be flexible to accommodate candidates that live outside this territory.
