Join our growing UK sales team to support our manufacturing customers in finding the best solution to their metrology and quality challenges. Previous experience and interest in measurement, metrology, or engineering is beneficial. We achieve this with quality management software, data control and analysis technology, as well as our wide range of metrology solutions from our global manufacturing partners.

Job Purpose: Ensures consistent, profitable growth in sales revenues through positive planning, deployment, and management of your sales territory. Responsible for developing sales to meet agreed company objectives. Be a team player, show initiative, and work effectively with the sales team and other company employees. Provide technical support to Field Area Sales Managers.

Impact: Create levels of activity that produce a return in enquiries, projects, demonstrations, and orders. Maximise product awareness throughout your sales territory. Build a pipeline that will drive sales on a consistent monthly basis. Build and maintain key accounts through regular pre-arranged site visits.

Key Responsibilities: Build trust, value others, communicate effectively, drive execution, foster innovation, focus on delivery to customers, collaborate with others, solve problems creatively, and demonstrate high integrity. Attain or exceed sales targets and manage pipeline & forecasting. Optimise field time by spending quality time. Report to the Head of Sales on all aspects of the sales pipeline and activities.

Key Results Areas: Sales activity, demonstrations, and orders. Development of sales across all company product lines. Sales growth and profitability in line with the plan.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Expertise: Essential: Minimum of 3+ years of industry experience in technical sales in metrology or related field. Strong understanding of metrology fundamentals, including calibration standards, tolerances, and instrumentation. Experience working with and selling metrology equipment such as CMMs, Optical Profilers, and optical systems. Basic knowledge of industry standards like ISO/IEC 17025 and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing). Ability to read and understand engineering drawings. Proficiency with metrology software packages. Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets in a technical field. Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts. Strong organisational skills with the ability to work to deadlines and high attention to detail. Ability and willingness to work collaboratively as part of a team. Experience in a sales or business development role within the metrology or industrial automation sector. Proficiency in using customer relationship management (CRM) tools like Salesforce, HubSpot, or Microsoft Dynamics to manage leads and track sales performance. Clean and full UK driving license.

Desirable: Educated to degree level in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or time-served apprenticeship. Knowledge of robotics, industrial automation, or advanced manufacturing processes.
