£40,000 - £45,000 basic plus profit driven uncapped commission - OTE £100K Hours of Work:

The Role: My client, a large group in the Plant industries, has a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic field-based Area Sales Manager who is eager to generate new business and nurture customer relationships. You will join a team focused on the specialist product range, supporting the wider team with product specialism, as well as your dedicated area for direct sales. Products being sold include Dumpers, Rollers, Loaders, and Specialist Excavators. Key Focus Sectors:

Building, cable laying, tunnelling, landscaping, agriculture, military, pipeline laying, road works, and recycling industries. Your Responsibilities: Contribute to the sales growth of the division by generating sales leads through effective networking, referrals, and prospecting. Identify, penetrate, and close business opportunities successfully while securing additional sales opportunities such as parts and rentals. Work closely with the Manufacturer to maximize brand opportunities. Prepare and follow up with quotations, ensuring timely customer payments. Monitor orders closely, escalating any lost order issues to minimize financial loss. Consistently achieve sales and profitability targets. Maintain excellent relationships with suppliers to ensure correct specifications for orders. Collaborate with the sales office organization and other departments to maximize productivity and reduce costs. Communicate effectively with aftersales to ensure a smooth handover of products to customers. Develop a network of customer relationships with both new and existing clients. Maintain an accurate Plant CRM database of all customer contact details. Take ownership of customer concerns, ensuring effective communication and solution-finding. Identify opportunities to supervise product demonstrations at selected customer sites to facilitate new business deals. Skills & Behaviours Required: Resilience Tenacity Communication Skills This role will be a great fit for you if you can demonstrate previous experience in a similar role within the construction/Plant industry, have experience selling Dumpers, Rollers, Loaders, and Excavators, possess demonstrable skills in negotiation and selling, and take a flexible approach to work.
