Area Sales Manager - NORTH

Summary:

This position is responsible for the market development and customer growth of our

POPCAKE COMMERCIAL & ASHWOOD’S

business within an assigned territory,

through

a combination of sales prospecting, sales presentations & proprietary equipment placement. The role is remote based and reports directly to our Head of Sales – UK/Ireland.

Primary duties and responsibilities:

Sales & Revenue Generation:

Identify key opportunities, develop target accounts, establishing initial customer contacts, delivering over-the-phone, online & in person sales presentations & product demonstrations with key decision makers (General Managers, Executive chefs, F&B Directors, Purchasing managers etc.) in the assigned territory. Closing the sale and placement of Free-on-Loan (FOL) equipment, coordinating the commissioning of the related equipment (Pancake machines, warmers, jam dispensers, honey displays) with our Customer Service Team, work with chefs and F&B operators on how best to present and use our products to maximise sales. Maintain relationships & annual grow revenue with existing customers in the assigned territory. Achieve quarterly results in line with the Company’s annual sales objectives & personal KPIs. Territory Management:

Plan and execute sales strategies to maximise opportunities within assigned territory. Regularly visit customers and prospects to present and demonstrate products/services. Manage the sales pipeline, forecast sales, and provide accurate reporting to management. Account Management:

In conjunction with the Customer Service team handle customer queries, concerns, and call outs promptly and effectively. Offer tailored solutions to meet customer needs to increase revenue of existing accounts. Market Research and Analysis:

Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and customer demands in the region. Provide feedback to the management team regarding market conditions and opportunities. Administration and Reporting:

Maintain up-to-date records of customer interactions, sales activities, and performance metrics. In a disciplined manner maintain accurate customer data and record relevant customer contact activity in the Company’s CRM. Provide regular sales & deal updates and report to Head of Sales. Collaboration and Teamwork:

Work closely with internal teams (e.g., sales, customer service & operations) to ensure alignment on company objectives. Participate in sales meetings, training sessions, and conferences as required. Other:

Typical Customers: Marriott hotels, Hilton hotels, Accor Hotels, independent hotels & Hotel Management Groups, Airline Lounges, Education (Schools, Colleges), Healthcare (Assisted living) and all suitable foodservice operators specifically specialising in the buffet breakfast space. Networking within the Hotel, Hospitality and Food & Beverage industries, proactively using LinkedIn to develop relationships, build networks and drive overall business development. Experience:

Proven sale experience in a field or territory-based role. Experience in the related HoReCa sales field is advantageous. Excellent negotiation and closing skills. Strong understanding of sales techniques and customer relationship management. Compensation:

£32,000 - £35,000 base salary, OTE (with performance related bonus) of £45,000 Workplace pension contributions. 20 Days paid annual leave plus bank holidays Mileage paid Computer Skills:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365. Proficient with web-based presentation tools. Proficient with working with Zoho CRM or a similar CRM platform. Other Requirements:

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organisational and time management abilities with the ability to work independently. Ability to analyse data and generate actionable insights. Highly motivated and results driven. Resilient and able to handle rejection constructively. Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned area. A valid UK driving license & own vehicle (mileage paid). Eligibility to work in the UK.
