Area Sales Representative

, where you'll be given all of the tools to build your portfolio of regular collections, to be delivered to one of our local carrier depots. You will be required to proactively engage with SMEs in your local area, raising awareness of our service and signing them up for regular collections - which you will then be responsible for organising around your schedule and completing on their behalf. You will be the trusted face of our brand, embodying Tuffnells values and going the extra mile to support our customers, fostering loyalty and high levels of customer satisfaction. Key responsibilities as an Area Sales Representative: Drive business development by actively seeking new clients and onboarding them onto the Tuffnells platform. Utilise Tuffnells marketing materials (brochures, flyers) to raise awareness and generate interest in your local area. Conduct a simple sign-up process with customers and coordinate with internal Tuffnells team to set up the first collection. Provide a high level of customer service, addressing client needs during collection visits and escalating issues as appropriate. Build and maintain strong relationships with SME clients, handling daily collections and becoming a reliable point of contact. Manage collections for a designated geographical area, acting as the face of Tuffnells for local clients. Wear branded clothing and apply vehicle branding to build Tuffnells' visibility and credibility in your region. Meet collection volume goals to increase earnings through additional SME acquisitions and consignment pickups. Collaborate with Area Sales Managers and Customer Service Representatives for support on large accounts or complex client inquiries. What we’re looking for: Sales or business development experience is highly beneficial, with the confidence to approach and onboard new clients. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport and trust with clients. Proven experience in driving, with a reliable vehicle suited for regional collections and deliveries. Self-motivated and organised, with the ability to manage your schedule and meet collection targets independently. Familiarity with using basic digital tools for client sign-ups, navigation, and order tracking.
