Baker Hughes and the OFSE segment provides products and services for onshore and offshore oilfield operations across the lifecycle of a well, ranging from exploration, appraisal, and development, to production, rejuvenation, and decommissioning. About the Role The ARMO Tech will be operating in our OFSE business segment here at Baker Hughes. Please ensure candidates submissions are comfortable with the points below which highlights some of the day-to-day activities. Responsibilities: Quality Assurance and Compliance Monitor quality control procedures to ensure all work complies with internal standards and external regulations. Develop and implement inspection processes for incoming, in-process, and outgoing components to ensure they meet specifications. Conduct regular audits to verify compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. Process Improvement and Lean Initiatives Identify areas for process improvement and work with cross-functional teams to streamline operations, reduce waste, and increase efficiency. Lead Lean or Six Sigma projects to enhance quality and reduce variability in assembly and maintenance processes. Implement root cause analysis for recurring quality issues and propose corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence. Quality Control and Testing Perform detailed quality checks on parts, assemblies, and completed tools to detect defects and ensure functionality. Implement non-destructive testing (NDT) methods and other testing protocols to assess component integrity. Review and update testing standards, ensuring they align with evolving industry practices and technological advancements. Documentation and Reporting Maintain accurate records of inspection results, non-conformances, corrective actions, and quality performance data. Generate reports on quality trends, key performance indicators (KPIs), and any significant deviations. Collaborate with AMO teams to ensure documentation is accessible and updated, supporting traceability and regulatory compliance. Training and Development Train AMO staff on quality control standards, inspection techniques, and best practices. Promote a culture of quality within the workshop by leading quality awareness programs and training sessions. Support continuous improvement by encouraging the team to identify and report quality concerns proactively. Supplier Quality Management Coordinate with suppliers to ensure they meet the workshop’s quality standards for parts and materials. Manage supplier-related non-conformances and work collaboratively to resolve issues. Ensure adherence to supplier materials through rigorous inspections. Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Compliance Ensure that all quality procedures align with HSE standards and do not compromise worker safety. Work closely with HSE teams to assess the impact of quality initiatives on safety protocols and procedures. Customer Focus Act as a quality liaison with clients to understand their specific quality requirements and ensure compliance. Manage customer complaints related to quality issues, ensuring timely and effective resolutions. Maintain open communication with clients to improve satisfaction and reduce product returns or service rework. Collaboration with Maintenance Teams Work alongside maintenance and assembly technicians to address quality concerns during the assembly and overhaul process. Support troubleshooting efforts and provide technical expertise to resolve quality-related issues on the floor. To be successful in this role you will: Diploma in mechanical engineering or technical discipline preferred.
