Variable depending on course programming About the role Are you an Art Historian with experience and passion for working with adult learners? Then why not join City Lit's Culture and Humanities department where you will have the opportunity to work alongside the wider department to develop the Art History programme. We are currently interested in Tutors able to teach the following: Arts of Africa/African diaspora Arts of Indigenous cultures Early Modern Europe Arts of Asia - China, Japan, South Asia History of museums, collecting, curating and gallery-based teaching Introduction to Art History About the applicant City Lit is London's largest provider of learning for adults, inspiring over 30,000 students a year and offering more than 5,000 courses, online and face-to-face. Partnering with community organisations across London, we deliver bespoke projects that support individuals and communities. The ideal candidate will have: A qualification relevant to the subject being taught (degree and/or postgraduate qualification). Experience of teaching Art History, ideally to groups of adults. Ability to plan and deliver imaginative and engaging courses (informed by up to date subject knowledge, enthusiasm and interest in Literature) face-to-face and/or online, in collaboration with the Tutor Coordinator, understanding the interests and learning needs of the student cohort. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. Excellent communication skills.
