An exciting and rare opportunity has arisen for an Art Psychotherapist to work across our Inpatient Rehabilitation Adult Mental Health wards at St George's Park in Morpeth, Northumberland. You will be joining the Psychological Services Inpatient team, which includes Clinical and Counselling Psychologists, Psychological Therapists, Art Psychotherapists, and Assistant Psychologists. Main Duties of the Job

The post will be based across two rehabilitation units that are part of the complex psychosis pathway. One ward is male-only, and the other is a mixed ward. A working day may include attendance at multidisciplinary team meetings, individual art therapy sessions, and the delivery of an art therapy group. There may also be opportunities for team reflective practice and supervision of Trainee Art Psychotherapists, as well as involvement in service-related projects. The post holder will work closely alongside the wider Psychology team, which includes a Practitioner Psychologist and Assistant Psychologist for each ward. Job Responsibilities

The post holder will provide Art Therapy, including specialist assessments, group, and individual Art Therapy. Collaboration with professional colleagues is essential, offering advice and consultation while effectively working within multi-disciplinary teams. The post holder will contribute to clinical discussions and decision-making alongside the wider multidisciplinary team. Clinical supervision and consultation/advice will be provided in accordance with service needs, including holding reflective practice spaces for clinical teams. The post holder will undertake audit, outcome evaluation, and contribute to research and development within the art therapy service.
