My client is a long-established successful specialist manufacturing engineering SME serving customers in high reliability sectors which include nuclear, defence, and aerospace markets. They are currently in need of an Assembly Technician to join their Gas Filled Detectors team in Croydon.
DUTIES:
Manufacturing assemblies and sub-assemblies to Company and Client documentation. Proactively contribute to meeting the order demand. Contribute to continuous improvement of Lean manufacturing processes. Maintain documentation fully completed and presentable to Clients. Support both on and off site manufacturing and testing in line with production plans. Assist with Client surveillance visits.
SKILLS: Well-grounded experience in precision mechanical assembly and fitting, including brazing. Experience of working with hazardous materials. Previous experience as an apprentice toolmaker (advantageous). Able to follow engineering drawings, mechanical assembly procedures, and work to tight tolerances. Good problem solver and team player.

LOCATION:
CROYDON SALARY:
Up to £28,000 per annum.
WORKING HOURS:
4 days per week (37.5 hrs), Monday to Thursday.
