Assembly Technician

Wiring Technician Annual Salary: Circa £30,000 Location: Near Royston Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Reed Engineering are currently working with a highly established subcontract manufacturer who are seeking a skilled electrical/electronic wiring technician to join their team, focusing on the wiring of panels, prototypes, and small units for a diverse range of industries, including pharmaceutical. This role is based just outside Royston, conveniently located 10 minutes from excellent public transport links. Day-to-day of the role: Assemble and test a range of bespoke products for a variety of industries. Build and form cable assemblies, harnesses and related products. Inspect products, equipment, and components to identify any faults and the need for adjustment or repair, to ensure units are completed to the highest standard. Required Skills & Qualifications: Proven experience as a Electronics Assembly, Panel wiring, box build or similar role. Technical understanding and ability to read blueprints, technical diagrams, and operating manuals. Proficiency with hand tools, soldering irons and related equipment. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team. Benefits: Competitive salary of circa £30,000 per year, however this is negotiable for an individual with the right skillset. 40 hours per week – Monday to Friday with flexible start and finish times.
