Assembly Technician – Worthing – £25k – £27k Assembly Technician – Package Overview Salary: £25k - £27k Full Time, Permanent Hours: 8am – 5pm Early Finish on Fridays (1pm) Free On-Site Parking Regular Training Provided Company Pension Scheme 20 Days Holiday + Bank Assembly Technician – Company Overview Our client, a market leading manufacturer, is currently looking for an experienced Assembly Technician to join their dynamic team on a full-time basis. They are continuing to grow at an impressive rate due to their excellent reputation and trusted expertise in their field. Assembly Technician – Roles & Responsibilities Read and Interpret Schematics for the assembly of electrical wiring. Plan and complete assembly tasks, including electrical and testing activities. Provide feedback and suggest improvements to schematics, procedures, and operational workflows for continuous improvement. Produce high-quality electrical, fibre optic, and hybrid cable assemblies according to specifications. Conduct testing of cable assemblies under supervision to verify compliance with customer specifications. Work closely with the project coordinating team to deliver the production schedule, advising on timescales. Support team members to complete any tasks as required from time to time. Keep a clean, organised workspace, following all Health & Safety procedures. Adhere to company safety protocols, quality standards, and environmental practices. Assembly Technician – Skills & Experience Experience in an electrical engineering/manufacturing environment. Ability to accurately read and understand electrical schematics and assembly drawings. Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, with hands-on exposure to: Mechanical assembly, Point-to-point wiring, Cable and harness work, Use of torque and crimping tools, Soldering, computer-aided testing. Problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues. Familiarity with wiring standards such as IPC620 and IPC610 is advantageous. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.). Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Attention to detail, ensuring all work meets high-quality standards.
