This Asset Management Analyst will report to the Asset Strategy Manager – I&M and will work within Asset Management based in either our Crawley / London / Burry St Edmunds offices. You will be a permanent employee. You will attract a salary of £61,723 and a bonus of 3%. This role can also offer blended working after probationary period (6 months) - 3 days in the office and 2 remote. Close Date:

The Asset Management Directorate's primary role is to help ensure UK Power Networks is equipped to solve the regulatory challenges of RIIO-ED2 and future periods. Our ambition is to be regarded as an industry leader, and we are looking for an Asset Management Analyst who can contribute to this vision by providing data driven insights. You will be of strategic importance and report to the Asset Strategy Manager for Inspection & Maintenance within the Asset Strategy team in the Asset Management directorate. The Asset Strategy team develops, implements, and oversees the delivery of inspection, maintenance and asset replacement/refurbishment strategies for all asset types. Role Overview

As an Asset Management Analyst, you will use data to guide strategic decisions by extracting and transforming complex datasets into actionable insights. This data may include asset condition information, inspection records, or defects information to optimize and prioritise inspection and maintenance programme. Principal Accountabilities

Typical accountabilities will include: Business Requirements

- Gathering and understanding business requirements for data analysis and visualisation. Data Collection

– Collect data from various sources, including internal databases like SAP tables that contain asset related information and external datasets such as environmental data. Collaborate with stakeholders, including the Asset Systems Team and Data Engineering team at UK Power Networks. Data Analysis

– Perform detailed analysis using tools such as Python and Excel based on requirements set by asset engineers and present insights. Data Interpretation

– Turn complex analysis into useful insights for asset engineers to support in strategic decision making. Data Visualisation

– Develop visualisations and reports to present findings with various stakeholders such as Asset Engineers within Asset Management and maintenance team within Network Operations. Ownership

– Ownership of data sets and maintenance of multiple dashboards, performance reports and applications. Training

– Develop and provide training and support to end users of multiple dashboards and applications. Compliance

– Ensuring data security and adherence to best practices and policies established by Information Systems team. Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications and Experience

Ideally qualified with a degree in engineering, data science, computer science or statistics; Applicants with relevant experience in a related field will also be considered; Proficiency in: Microsoft Excel, SQL, Python and Databricks Data visualisation tools such as Power BI and Tableau Experience in using: Microsoft Word and PowerPoint Experienced in designing and developing dashboards; Skilled at analysing and reporting complex data; Able to identify trends from complex data sets; Experienced in interacting with stakeholders to present information clearly. Should you not hold the full range of essential skills, qualifications and competencies listed above, there may be an opportunity for further training to equip you. If you do not have all relevant competencies for the core grade, it may be appropriate to appoint at a lower grade until you have developed the required competencies.
