Superior Recruitment are working with an Engineering client who operates in the Biomass/hazardous industry. The responsible person will oversee two Biomass plants, one based in Sheffield and the other in Nottingham. The client offers Hybrid working. The role involves ensuring compliance with and delivery of the Group Operating Standard through leadership, direction, and management of strategy, actions, and results. Key Responsibilities: Successfully lead, engage, and manage the plants' operational and maintenance site teams in consistent implementation of the Group Operating Standard. Overall responsibility for leadership and delivery of safe, effective running of both Biomass Power Plants, ensuring all SHEQ, legislative, and business requirements are met, maintained, and improved. Lead, manage, and engage the site leadership team and other assigned personnel, taking responsibility for their supervision, development, welfare, and overall effectiveness. Act as a site role model, consistently demonstrating zero harm SHEQ and risk management strategies, company values, behaviors, policies, culture, and practices. Build, maintain, and manage effective and timely client relationships, balancing and delivering Group and client requirements to ensure safe, efficient asset running and excellent customer service. Develop, lead, communicate, and deliver the Annual Operating and Business plan for plants, ensuring effective communication and understanding among all employees. Effectively plan, justify, control, and optimize plant budgets, financial considerations, and contracts. Work effectively and positively with all employees, customers, clients, contractors, and external authorities to promote the business and deliver site and client requirements. Essential Requirements: Degree or equivalent qualification in an Engineering discipline. Experience in the energy industry or other related major hazard industries. Experience in management of energy-related assets. Operated at senior management level in the same or equivalent industries. Ability to think at a strategic level while managing day-to-day performance of both Power Plants. Able to manage the complexities and challenges associated with motivating staff in a safety-target-driven environment. Management experience of a team/site, including coaching, managing performance, and absence. Willingness to attend a power plant and engage in on-site activities for better outcomes.
